Clayton

“We seek to empower students. They don’t just learn information, knowledge and skills. They learn how to use them to create their own path in life.”

HEAR HOW WE EMPOWER GIRLS

Clayton Forno

HEAD OF LANGUAGES AND DREAM DARER

Clayton Forno is the Languages Head of Department and Teacher at Somerville House. His passion for languages and mastery of teaching is a sight to behold. In his class, students are enthralled, the atmosphere buzzing with mutual admiration and engagement.

The reason for this is the learning culture at Somerville House is truly a collaborative environment. Students are engaged with their teachers and each other. They are encouraged to be co-creators and co-learners within the classroom.

Clayton believes that at Somerville House, every student can find her place, find her passion and find what interests her. “We seek to empower students. They don’t just learn information, knowledge and skills. They learn how to use them to create their own path in life,” Clayton says.

“At Somerville, there is a palpable culture of excellence among our students, such is their commitment to high achievement. They are curious, resilient and hard-working while being generously supportive of each other. Students feel challenged and are determined to succeed. They often look to the global stage to see what they need to be productive members of our community. It’s a culture that becomes contagious.”
